The purpose of the prototype is to facilitate discussions regarding community activities during the first 72 hours after a disaster when water and food sources cannot be provided by the city. The prototype is used as urban furniture on normal days and will be transformed into a water purifier and a set of the common kitchen for 150 people during emergency situations. The water tower can purify 30 liters per hour, and store 365 liters to provide potable water to people. This water is conveyed to the kitchen with a foot pump so that people can drink and cook.
